buy produce at the local farmer's market

Here is my check list:
- bring my own bags
- first visit the organic booths
- always ask where the produce is from and buy closest first
- always buy lemonade from the kids

We have a local area, the Rivermarket, where you can buy fresh produce. It’s a lively place to be on Saturday mornings. The prices are slightly higher than grocery stores, but the taste is unbelievable. Try it. And, while you’re buying, make sure to ask if the food is locally grown so you’re sure you’re supporting the local market, not just buying resold produce.
